Before Laura began caring for pets professionally, she attended the University of Florida and earned a BS degree in Magazine Journalism. She then returned to school and pursued another passion of hers - graphic design. Laura started her own graphic design studio and continues to utilize her creative talents on a part-time basis...but her TRUE passion is animals, hence the inception of Giv-a-Dog-a-Walk. Laura is an avid advocate for the loving care of all creatures, great and small.
Laura understands the concerns that pet guardians and home owners face when trusting someone else to provide care for their pets when they can't be there. She faced that same dilemma years ago when her Dalmatian, Riley, became ill. Dropping him off at the kennel just wasn't a viable option. Initially, she ceased traveling, but eventually found a reliable pet sitter to care for her ailing and aging pet in the comfort of home.
That peace of mind was priceless and enabled her to enjoy her vacations knowing that he was well taken care of and comfortable in his own environment.
